Kammy Yorgason, CMHC

I take a compassionate, supportive, non-judgmental approach to help clients let go of shame, find coping skills that work for them, improve communication, set boundaries, and discover thinking errors that contribute to keeping people stuck in maladaptive patterns. I have extensive experience working with anxiety, panic disorder, depression, trauma, PTSD, childhood abuse/neglect, rape/sexual assault (women and men), self-harm, and developing/strengthening healthy relationships. The approaches used are client centered and include a combination of narrative therapy, CBT, DBT, EMDR, REBT, ACT, among others.
Extensive experience with anxiety, depression, complex-trauma, PTSD, maladaptive behaviors, ADHD, family relationships, faith transitions, and unexpected life events. LGBTQIA+ allied. I work with adults, adolescents, and children (8yo and up), individual and telehealth sessions are available.
Sometimes it is difficult to find the energy to attend therapy even if you know you need it. I genuinely care about the clients I serve and want to make attending therapy something to look forward to. We work together each session to find something practical you can do between sessions that will help you build the skills needed to make changes you want.
