I strive to help clients unlock their potential and zeal for life amongst the barriers they may be facing—such as relationship difficulties, compulsions, trauma, and unhelpful thinking patterns that keep them stuck. I have a compassionate approach that considers societal and cultural impact. I believe the client is the expert on their own life, and I seek to understand their perspective and insight thoroughly.
Additionally, I bring my experience in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to the table to teach clients the tools they need to make real change.
I dislike the term ‘talk therapy’ because I believe good therapy takes action as well. I love providing a safe place for clients to feel their feelings authentically and challenge their limiting beliefs about themselves. Growth and change are possible, not always easy, but possible.
I love working with children through adults at all phases of the life cycle. I am capable of working with individuals, couples, and families as they navigate the issues of life. Some of those issues I am especially interested in are family estrangement, pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, depression, anxiety and compulsive disorders, and chronic illness.
