Ebbie Russett, CMHC

There are many individuals suffering from mental trauma connected to a past of emotionally and life-threatening/changing events; thus, resulting in mental, social, behavioral, emotional, and spiritual scaring that bleeds into their daily lives. This can leave them feeling distant, depressed, anxious, irritated, and/or numbed; believing that everyone else is living and they are just existing. Most people don’t realize that there are many trauma therapies available to them such as EMDR, ART, TF-CBT, Sand tray and EFT. These therapies can help to feel reconnected and alive again.
My specialty is working with individuals that are dealing with trauma-related issues. My goal is for my clients to feel reconnected to their families, friends and loved ones again and to experience/enjoy living. Using a broad modality of trauma therapies, I can help my clients reattach to the people and lives from whom they have distanced themselves.
As an individual who has experienced my own trauma, I recognize the importance of having a therapist who understands one’s feelings/issues. Consequently, I will not offer a therapy for a client that has not been effective for me.
