Mikenna Giauque, ACMHC
Hello there! I specialize in supporting children ages 3-12, teens, emerging adults, adults, and families. I provide mental health counseling for concerns such as depression, anxiety, relational discord, attachment concerns, grief, and trauma. I also have extensive experience providing out-patient support for individuals experiencing chronic suicidal ideations, psychosis, and personality disorders.
I am dedicated to aiding individuals and families as they navigate life’s darkest moments. This means integrating play therapy, ACT, DBT, CBT, and art-based interventions into my person-centered approach. I am committed to operating from a multiculturally-informed lens and openly acknowledge the impact of societal systems in the lives of my clients.
I am continually in awe of the sheer resiliency of individuals and families. I am passionate about harnessing this resiliency in the face of previously unbeatable odds. This means addressing traumatic events in an evidence-based manner, identifying coping skills, cultivating support systems, and dispersing the impact of shame.
